VIA Net Works Purchases PSINet Europe

According to research and analysis firm Netcraft (netcraft.com), VIA Net Works announced that it was going to buy PSINet Europe for 18 million Euros (Approx. $22. million).

VIA Net.Works hosts about 204,000 'host names', and states it will most likely be increasing it's customer base by 4,000 through PSINet Europe's owner Israel Corporation Limited.

VIA will be taking over PSINet Europe operatings in Belgium, France, Germany, the Neterhlands and Switzerland, however PSINet Europe's U.K. office are not part of the acquisition.
