My name is Robert Horton and I am co-founder of TotalMatrix.

TotalMatrix.net has its headquarters in Houston, TX USA and has a branch office in Miami, FL USA.
Where are your servers located? (Datacenter & Backbone information)
The TotalMatrix servers are located in Houston, TX USA in a secure, state of the art facility fully loaded with redundant UPS, air conditioning, multiple generator backups, smoke and fire protection systems and 24/7 security. Our network consists of over 12 Gigabit connections using fiber optic cable from over six backbone providers. In addition these connections enter the facility from multiple locations to reduce single points of failure. TotalMatrix is dedicated to provide secure, reliable, and stable platforms for your business.
Tell us what your company does exactly?
TotalMatrix specializes in Internet solutions. We provide hosting for individuals as well as business grade hosting. Our solutions include Internet/intranet/extranet development, e-commerce solutions, off-site and corporate network monitoring, network consulting, database design and integrations, website design, and Modernbill custom solutions and conversions. In short, if your company needs a solution using the Internet or corporate network we can design and implement that solution but at the same time our competitive prices allows small businesses and individuals to take advantage of our services as well. Every customer is important regardless of size and all are treated as our largest client.
Tell us how you got started.
I’ve been in this business since the early 90s and over a 2 years ago Robert Wawrzyniak, co-founder of TotalMatrix.net, and I decided that there was a need for a new kind of hosting and solutions provider. We saw many companies out there that offered hosting but so many were fly-by-night operations and lacked the expertise that we could provide. In addition, very few of them gave a full line of support and options with their hosting. This gave birth to TotalMatrix.net and a place where our clients can outsource their IT department or find assistance to their existing IT department. We feel that the ease and luxury of having a single point of contact to host your website, monitor your servers, redesign web graphics, and add functionality to your website is something that our customers were looking for. This gets our clients the best price and does not require them to manage multiple consulting firms which end up pointing fingers at the other person when something goes wrong. With TotalMatrix, we do it right so there is no need to point fingers.
What is your average day like at work?
We believe is 110% customer satisfaction which means total dedication to our work. I am normally at a client’s location managing a solution implementation or in meetings drafting up the next cost-reducing solution for our client. The rest of my time is filled with ensuring that operations run smoothly and that every customer is satisfied. TotalMatrix’s standard of quality and service demands nothing less.
With such a tough industry how do you remain competitive, and have an edge over the competitor?
Simply by being the best. TotalMatrix has competitive prices while at the same time maintains a level of quality that strives to surpass the client’s expectation. By offering a large selection of Internet solutions and hosting packages we make sure we have something for everyone at a competitive price. We can cut costs by offering total solution packages where as many of our competitors have to send their customers elsewhere for non-hosting matters.

Do you have any suggestions for someone trying to step into this field?
You must love what you do. The TotalMatrix staff and I can only provide the service and quality we do because we love what we are doing. I have been lucky enough to have my hobby and job coincide. You must believe in and love your work to succeed. I feel the reason so many have failed in this field is because they think it is an easy or quick way to make an extra buck. They unfortunately do not last long.
