PayPal Payment Review

Last Updated: November 30, 1999

This guide explains the multiple methods of payments which webhosting providers such as yourself can offer your customers. We will be explaining each payment method as well as showing the pros and cons for each payment method. Please note that there are millions of different payment methods on the internet, and we are only touching a few of the most popular ones.

PayPal.com

PayPal
is not your typical way to accept credit cards online. It
requires the purchaser/customer to be a member and either
have funds in their account or have a credit card or bank
account on file to send you money. PayPal
has been known to cause users problem because it is VERY easy
for the buyer to do a chargeback by simply notifying paypal
they did not receive what they payed for. This is getting
harder, but please be aware this is the big downfall. The
largest downfall to paypal is if you ONLY use paypal
to accept payment. Most people on the internet are not members
of paypal so when they see that is the only method of payment
you accept they will most likely leave. It is best to use
paypal and a method of accept credit cards as well. Many people
feel secure and safe when using their credit card. Paypal's
fees are not THAT bad because there is no monthly fee at all.
This makes paypal
a nice choice for new webhosting providers.
