PayPal Update Causes Outages Problems

Last Updated: December 4, 2010

Since October 8th, 2004 paypal has had problems with members experiencing intermittent server errors. Paypal says "Activities such as paying for ended eBay listings, using the Immediate Payment feature, using PayPal shipping functionality, and accessing account information have been intermittently available." while they say intermittently available myself and others have been totally unsuccessful making payments or receiving payments via paypal the last couple days.

As of October 12th, 2004 Paypal is still not working correctly. However, Paypal has claimed to have found the problem. Not only now can users not use paypal to buy and sell items/services online they will also be experiencing problems with their Debit Cards. Funds may appear to be unavailable or simply your debit card will not work.

According to paypal.com "unforeseen problems that resulted when a new code base to upgrade the site architecture was introduced to the PayPal platform on Friday morning."

Paypal insures its' customers that account data and personal information has not been lost.
